We have been staying with my parents since I decided to go back to General Santos City and although we have our very own house in Zamboanga City, I am still adamant to stay here in General Santos.
But, staying with your folks do have its good and bad perks. For one, privacy is something I have to endure although I am only happier that my folks and siblings take care of my kid whenever I am away and busy in work.
So, if resources shall be allowed, I can only resume with the construction of the stalled house just around the family lot. And, we hope to have our own space to do whatever we want at our own bidding. For one, I want to have our own address plaque to boost.
Nothing can be more relieving than having our own place with a chic address sign that we can be proud of. Perhaps, with address plaques and numbers, we can indeed claim that the house shall be called our very own home.
For now, we can only stay put with our kin and just try to live with them smoothly and consider the good perks more than anything else.

Why Filipinos Celebrate Early Christmas Holidays
Whenever September kicks in, most of the Filipino communities start to put in Christmas decorations, and you bet that Christmas songs are on the air. Needless to say, Filipinos have four (4) months to prepare, enjoy and celebrate the holidays. We start buying gifts for our godsons ad goddaughters, write holiday cards and book family reunions among others.
Filipinos are known for happy and jovial moods and whenever there are occasions, holidays or otherwise, it is only natural that Filipino families and friends bond together for celebration. I guess, it is by this culture that the entire year of the Philippine calendar is packed with endless government and religious holidays that most Filipinos are happy about. We always have a reason or two to celebrate, may it be baptism, weddings, birthdays or simply passing through exams.
While this culture seems to be harmless, it can be quite disastrous since it encourages people to work hard to spend more and the vicious cycle continues that most Filipino families are really scarce of savings or retirement fund. Further, it also enforces passive attitude towards work since holidays fill most of the working days.
But, this culture can be quite an overstatement, it defines and enlivens us. In fact, as early as now, we are anticipating loved ones and friends coming home for family reunions.
I simply love being Filipino but best of all, I love Christmas more.

How To Make Your Weekend Productive
The Philippine President, Ninoy Aquino, marked September 10 as a non - working holiday in celebration of Eid el-Fitr, a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan or fasting.
So, when long weekends are ahead of us, how can we make these long days productive. Here are my suggestions:
- read your long overdue novels;
- take your loved ones to a family swim;
- prepare a good picnic with friends or loved ones;
- go camping or hiking;
- travel to another city by road for few days;
- finish overdue works;
- enjoy classic movies;
- hit theater houses;
- play boardgames with kids or friends;
- a nice sit on a baywalk;
- sun tan and beach swim;
- gardening; and
- well, the list can go on. . .

New Year Celebration For Us
A jump shot at White Haven Resort, Glan
Fireworks with family and new friends to scare away evil spirits lurking over 2010
Just me! Model of some Chinese fireworks. LOL!
The entire family was complete during the new year's eve celebration as my younger sibling went home for a week's vacation together with her fiance. We were only too pleased that we were all together in spite of the spartan celebration we had.
We rummaged the ref every now and then and scared the neighborhood with our video - k singing. Yikes! hahahhahha!
Although we spent most of the time at the oval plaza for our food exhibit, we used our other idle time mall window shopping, singing and dining. We sure did have great time last new year that we cant wait for the next get together.

We Are Stuck!
My family and I are in Zamboanga City right now. We wish to bring our family van to Gensan City by traveling on road. However, since the van has seven-months of full rest, it is now experiencing a couple of car problems including brakes, battery and aircon. waaaaaaaaaaah!
We are supposed to leave today, but, obviously, it is still not done. We can only pray that by tomorrow, we will be off to the road and head to Gensan through Pagadian, Iligan, Cagayan, Bukidnon and Davao. Quite a road travel, huh?! We wish to meet other bloggers from these places. We don't know anyone in these cities actually. hehheheheh!
Wish us a happy and safe trip on our way home!

Mesothelioma Can Get You
We work for a living to support the family and to address our personal needs. We normally select a safe and well-compensated job. However, if this very job brings us fatal health problems, then, we face a tremendous burden.
Companies do have a social and legal obligation to keep their employees safe. But, if they place their employees in a detrimental condition, then, they rob the very rights of their workers.
This is the harsh reality of workers who died of mesothelioma. This is a form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. This is very fatal since workers who are exposed to this substance experience latent symptoms. They only notice their health problem when their symptoms have aggravated already. Consequently, they have a year or less to survive. Other patients who are diagnosed in the early stages of the disease have greater chance of survival because of medical treatment.
Asbestos is a name given to a group of fibrous materials. Asbestos has very unique physical qualities, it was termed the "miracle mineral" because it could add strength to products and resist fire. For this reason the use of asbestos in commercial products became very common. Asbestos was frequently found in insulation and fireproofing, car brakes, cements and joint compounds, floor tile, and pipe coverings.
Asbestos' fiber is 50 to 200 times thinner than the human hair. Consequently, this fiber can stay afloat for a longer period of time and can be breathed into the lungs. This may cause serious medical conditions like asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer. Normally, asbestos affects the industry of mining, construction, military, manufacturing, chemical processing, demolition, automotive and railroad.
So, if you, your loved ones or friends have been exposed to asbestos, call a Mesothelioma Lawyer. Protect your loved ones from this unwanted health risk. You work to live, not to die. So, call now, before it is too late!

More House Works For Me
Staying in my old house has always been fun and chaotic at times. The house is now filled from after my other siblings and I are back from Manila and Zamboanga after a couple of years of absence. This means, we share everything with the family, good and dirty works among other things. But, I wont prefer it any other way. I have my old room again, new job, new business, and new masteral degree.
One of the usual problems we have at home is our water pipe system. It has been with us since I was still in college and now that it is older, it gets busted more than the usual. My father just fixes this but his efforts are not truly enough to fix the pipe's problem completely. Sometimes, we have hours of no water at all, since the pipe was contained for fixing. That indeed can be frustrating when we have to pump the old well for water.
I heard that Charlotte Plumbing contractor does plumbing works efficiently at very reasonable rates. In finding a plumber, it is important that the potential plumber is competent and has good referrals. You may get these from friends, acquaintances or family members.
Further, asking for bids may give you several options to evaluate works involved in the contract and their corresponding costs. But, it has to be noted that lowest price does not always mean quality service. Consequently, we have to be more cautious in selecting a person for the dirty works.

We Need Cooler Place
It is extremely hot in a tropical country like here in the Philippines. We are now experiencing 33 degree Celsius of hot weather. Normally, we just stay in an air - conditioned room or wander around inside a shopping mall just to cool down.
Indeed, we wish for a cooler weather. Good thing, our family in Wisconsin, USA did have a rainy weather lately. Wisconsin is believed to have the longest winter. Consequently, my family's house has installed a heating system to neutralize the cool temperature.
Our other family members will soon join them in USA, but they will stay in California where the weather is somehow warmer. They shall need then a good A/C system.
I heard that there are Phoenix HVAC contractors who can help my family's need for new A/C unit and heating system. They are state licensed, insured and qualified to install new A/C units, furnace and heating systems, and repairs.
In finding an A/C contractor, it is important that he conducts an onsite inspection to check for the most appropriate new equipment and/or repair. Further, he has to ensure that this equipment is safe from any hazardous particle like carbon monoxide.
Phoenix HVAC contractors are easy to find from yellow pages or from referral from friends and family.

On the Basketball Court on Mother's Day
It is Mothers' Day here in the Philippines and I simply enjoyed the day with a morning jogging and a basketball game with my kid. Hahhahahah!
I greeted all of my friends, sister and mom. It is always a pride and joy to be a mother although struggles are there and will be there as my kids grows up. But, in spite of this uncertainty, I could never ask for more other than give a happy and love-filled life to my kid.
Cheers to all moms and women who live and act as mothers to their biological kids and to others.

Let Me Have a Direct TV
In my old home, I had a dish TV in my bedroom and in the living room. However, when our cable subscription expired and got renewed, the decoder simply would not work. Consequently, we had to abandon the decoder and the dish and our expensive investment.
I am now with my parents, and we have to share the TV in the living room. We somehow battle over channels that I opted to watch my movies when everyone is already sleeping.
But, I particularly prefer a Direct TV and a satellite TV since they offer digital programming and quality picture reception at very reasonable rates. I am building my new house; perhaps, a new TV should go along with it.
My Birthday is Coming
The site is pretty cool and interesting since it offers lower prices, friendly customer service, exchange and security policies, fast shipping and quality products. It also has promotions like free shipping within USA for purchases over $50.
My mom and siblings simply visit different stores in Chicago and Wisconsin just to get best buys for our boutique here in the Philippines. Surely, they will appreciate the stuffs of AMI since some fashion trends of celebrities like Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz are on the shelves of AMI.
The site offers only the hottest and newest trends since the site’s employees visit fashion designers for their latest works. Consequently, only the best is sold in AMI Club Wear.
I cannot wait for my family to send us their online purchases.

It's Quite Hot Here in the Philippines!
What a terrible summer weather here in the Philippines. We are experiencing around 32 C from Pagasa's weather forecast. While Visayas and Mindanao are having extremely hot weather, Luzon on the other hand, particularly Tuguegarao, are experiencing Tropical Storm Emong.
My grandparents and other kin in Pangasinan have simply lost their houses from the havoc of Emong. My father is quite worried though.
Mindanaoans are simply lucky to have a more stable weather. I might as well be glad with this hot weather. Tsk! tsk! tsk!

Attention Yamaha Rhino ATV Users
I just recently know how to drive a vehicle but I still struggle whenever I am on a busy road or intersection. My family had previous vehicular accidents. Consequently, I want to be more careful in my driving. However, vehicular accidents may occur even to those who drive safely. Another family member was recently hit while he was in his stationary car by another vehicle. He suffered tremendous muscle sores and the car was badly wrecked.
But, what if vehicular accidents are caused by poor designs? This is indeed the case of Yamaha Rhino Rollover accidents where a number has lost or injured their limbs, forcing these drivers to go through physical therapy or to resign from work.
However, Yamaha extremely denied that these accidents are due to poor Rhino ATV designs and simply blamed drivers for their accidents. I personally believed that this can be an irresponsible action unless Yamaha can thoroughly studied all of the vehicular accidents and evaluate the relationship of these accidents to car design and other criteria.
Yamaha Rhino is expected to rollover due to the reasons given below.
1. It has narrow size making it more unstable.
2. It is top heavy, producing high center of gravity.
3. It has smaller wheels, producing less hold on platforms.
Thus, if you or anyone of your friends or loved ones had experienced Rhino ATV rollovers, place your complaint. We simply don't pay for anything that can naturally cause us harm. This is a right by every buyer and the company must at least be responsible of its services or products.

My New Notebook
I finally have my own notebook. Yepey!!!! It is an ASUS EEE PC 10.1" size. Now, I don't have to pester my sister over her notebook or my partner over his laptop.
My other sister bought instead the ACER One Red notebook. We look silly when everyone else just sits down with his or her own laptop or notebook while my mom would worry with our electrical bills. Hahhaahhaha!
I just have to thank a dear family friend who mailed the notebooks to us. I just wish I can fully maximize this notebook for my blogging and other internet works. Hhahaah!

Buy Economically and Wisely at Sears
At this time of global economic crisis, we can't help but really face and endure a harder life. As a teacher, I notice that more and more students drop from school. Whenever I asked them for their reason, they will always say, "finances."
Unemployment rates and price hikes are increasing dramatically these days. We seem to get only small value for our hard earned money. Consequently, we must prioritize what we really need these days.
Few years ago, I would buy a number of clothes, bags and shoes for myself and my family members. However, since I am into masteral schooling and into business, my resources have been terribly depleted.
Food is always our topmost priority. But, we need to purchase for our clothing apparel because of weather shifts. My family in Wisconsin have to buy new ones too. Good thing, Sears
has initiated a 75-80% OFF ORIGINAL PRICES ON FALL & WINTER APPAREL from today until April 18. This is indeed a good investment for next season and a good saving-technique should my family need to send stuffs for other relatives. This is indeed big savings for everyone.
What is more exciting is that there is a Mommy-Make-Over Contest of $2500.00 worth for all Busted Moms. You don't have to be a mom to join this contest. All you have to do is share your story and how you handle this economic crisis and why you deserve a make-over. Sears will simply adore you with their alluring apparel, spa, hair and make-up freebies and cash. There steps are pretty simple. At this time of crisis, any chance of winning should be welcomed. So, why don't you join me and the rest who wants a make-over.
You can even follow them in Twitter. Simply search @bustedmoms. This will only take few seconds of your time.

Kid's Choice Awards
Twenty five years ago, TV was a privilege, only the rich ones could afford. I could still remember when my friends, my sister, and I would peek on our neighbor's windows just to see what was played on their TV.
Then, when my parents were all tired of reprimanding us to stay away from the neighbors, they decided to buy us a black-and-white TV. We enjoyed a lot of funny scripts of Three Stooges, and Hannah and Barbara's Flintstones, Bugs Bunny and all the Walt Disney films. I could vividly remember when I had to fight with my elders just to watch cartoons and all the funny movies on TV.
Now, that I am older, I still go for heroic movies. My personal favorite is the Batman series from the first sequel then to Dark Knight. I love this last installment since it is full of actions and twist and turns.
I watched it with my kid and I explained to him the story and the values he must learn while ignoring the violence as a simple make-up story.

So, when Kids' Choice Awards lists their nominees I simply opted for Dark Knight. I like Twilight and High School Musical too. I really wish I can nominate for these other great movies.
My other siblings and the little kids love to watch Sponge Bob, Jimmy Neutron and Rug Rats among Nickelodeon cartoon segments and Harry Potter movie series too. I have to praise all the producers of these movies and segments which portray not only valuable stories but also character.
