Having a soft heart for the less fortunate kids, I am only happier that private organizations and others freely contribute to helping these kids.
So, with Jollibee's boxes to hold donations of books and toys and with willing families to help, Christmas can be a little bit fun for the deprived kids.

Continuing its legacy of making Christmas brighter for less fortunate kids, Jollibee is again spreading hope and cheer with the 18th Maaga ang Pasko. This year, the country's longest - running toy and book donation drive makes its stop in General Santos City, calling on more Filipino families to join the Jolly Family Toy Scouts and touch the lives of children in need.
In partnership with SM Supermalls, Jollibee held a fun and memorable media launch at the Activity Center of SM City General Santos last October 27. Those in attendance include the new batch of partner schools and companies from the region, Jolly Family Toy Scouts, as well as Jollibee executives led by their Operations Director for Mindanao, Grace Mercado.
"There is no better way for families to bond during the Christmas season than by sharing their blessings and bringing joy to those who need it most. Through Maaga ang Pasko, we hope that families in General Santos will also make sharing a part of their Christmas family tradition," said Mercado.

During the event, the 2012 batch of Jolly Family Toy Scouts from General Santos were inducted, committing to making the 18th year of the toy and book drive a bigger success. Jollibee's regional business unit of Mindanao led the symbolic hanging of commitmennts on the Maaga ang Pasko Christmas tree and starting off this year's toy and book donations.
A variety of fun games and family - themed booths, plus a special magic show, were also set up at the launch, allowing participants and mall - goers to enjoy the time with their families while contributing to the campaign. All they had to do was present old or new toys and books in exchange for tickets to join in on the fun. This year's campaign doesn't stop there as launch events in four other key cities are slated within October and November, including Metro Manila, Bacolod, Calamba and Tarlac.
Since it started, the Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko campaign has spread the holiday cheer among thousands of children, collecting and distributing more than 1.8 million toys and books over the years. Last year, there were over 300,000 books and toys collected with the help of 102 partner schools and 62 partner companies. Known collectively as the Jolly Toy Scouts, these volunteers gave less fortunate children a memorable Christmas celebration.
Spread Christmas cheer and become a Jolly Family Toy Scout now! Gather your old toys and books, and drop off in the Maaga ang Pasko boxes in any Jollibee store nationwide.
