Check Out the New Fire and Ice Grill and Steak Bar in GenSan

The Generals shall have another pride as a new place can be a haven for those who simply want to relax and to enjoy good food with friends and family. The old Anchor Driving Range now dubbed as Gensan Sports Center begins its metamorphosis as a newly opened Fire and Ice Grill & Steak Bar just around the golf area starts serving the locals with their breakfast - to - dinner varied menu and concoctions.

But, what is more exciting is that sports enthusiasts shall have another place to sweat and to have fun since Mr. Rey Billena and family shall add more amenities for softball, gym, spa and alike. And, come NOVEMBER 11, 2011, the generals can be more proud for this high - end sports center.

So, the SOCCSKSARGEN BLOGGERS   can only be more grateful to be invited to this new hang - out and we can't wait to enjoy the new face that this old favorite place can deliver.

Happy 2011 Everyone!

It is 2nd day after January and while most of us still have hangover from all the parties, reunions and dining, we seem to have enjoyed the long vacation and come January 3, we are all back to work and school.

I shall resume with my teaching this Monday and I just have to finish all my grades and papers since they are required for submission too. However, I just loved the two – week vacation because I happened to travel for few days to different cities, to give gifts to kids, to do missionary works to remote and underprivileged communities, to donate to orphanage, to bond with my core and extended families in spite of the humble celebration. My year – end celebration was a total blast!

I only wish that everyone else had also as equal fun! HAPPY AND BLESSED NEW YEAR TO ALL!

My Zamboanga City Escapade

My kid and I had the chance to go back to our old home in Zamboanga City for a week vacation and with only six days to fill, we were dead beat with all the events we went through with friends and family.

It was a draining but fun week for us and we could only hope to extend the vacation but since classes are up on November 8, we can only bid goodbye to friends and family again.

I Run Away!

Yap, I am out for a week as I enjoy the semestral break to be back to our old home and just savor the city local delicacies and meet up with friends and family.

Geez! I never realized how much I needed the break not until I am out from school and business as I enjoy only my free time with nothing to think about  but fun.

But, tomorrow shall be the end of our six - day vacation as we go back to  our home and our usual routines. And, come November 8, I am back to being a teacher again. Sigh!

But, I can only be thankful that I get to see my friends again and kin.

Fun with SOX Bloggers at Music KTV Bar

We were invited early evening to join the SOX bloggers' meeting at  the opeing of Music KTV at Sun City, General Santos City. They had their soft opening last Sunday, September 12, and while it still needs polishing, the entire bar is worth visiting.

There are KTV spacious rooms good for 8 - 14 persons that may range between PHP 200.00 and PHP 300.00  per hour.  And, if your  barkadas or buddies simply need a place to relax and enjoy while having fun singing and drinking, then, this new KTV bar must be one of your top list.

We quite like their sumptuous food and different cocktail offers. Soon, we will visit this place for another fun time singing and dining.

Perks of Friendship

This can be an overvalued concept but friendship is oftentimes misused, ignored, abused and forgotten, intentionally or otherwise. Like an adage, "No man is an island.", everyone just needs everyone. And, lucky are those who have true friends who stand by you through thick and thin.

What can perks  can friendship bring you, well, let me re - stress the obvious:

  • They listen to you when you are all moppy, sad, drunk and pissed off;
  • They honestly critique your wardrobe, decision, partners, and lifestyle;
  • They lend you their helping hand and even pocket to save the day;
  • They make your special occasions more beautiful and lovelier knowing that your loved ones are happy for your happiness;
  • They fight for you just in case others badmouth your name or simply cheat on you;
  • They will simply stay loyal even through physical distance and concern and love remains over time.
  • They simply keep you sane with all the wacky jokes on a bad day just to keep you smiling and hopeful; and lastly,
  • They make you appreciate life and love better.

My Sunday With Loved Ones

I was awakened up early today to join the potluck party of a fellow blogger-friend, Sheng in a city spring here in General Santos.

Although, my kid just had his tonsillitis two weeks ago from swimming at a public pool, he took the plunge from this clean spring and just had great fun.

Further, I decided to drive the motorbike again. Although, I was comfortable now in driving, I still felt tensed and quite alert. I guess I really have to get used to it especially if the men at home are not around or something.

It was indeed a great fun with family and friends.

I Need A Life!

With the stress from work, business and personal life, I terribly need a life.  I quite miss my old friends that  I wish I can just disappear and  be with them and just have good fun.

During my free time, I only consume it through movies, shopping, and blogging. Sometimes, gimmicks with fellow bloggers help.

But, one can  only be with his limits until he decides to venture out. I can go on vacation again, be with my friends, play around, have fun with discos and Casinos online.  My friends and I can choose from high quality casinos who offer generous bonuses, fun games and 24/7 customer support.

There are simply to many casinos online. We can only be more cautious and be well informed about scam and fledgling ones.  Thus, we might as well go for quality casinos.

I hope I have enough resources to see my friends.

Dragging Days For Me

It has been weeks when I simply feel so down and distressed that I don't feel well about almost everything. Sigh! I think I am having the aging syndrome. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

How I wish I have my closest friends around whom I can hang out with and simply have fun. Perhaps, even if I don't find answers to  my distress, I can feel relieved.   I think I need a break from everything, perhaps a vacation will do.

Watching funny movies and hanging around with my kid somehow helps. Gosh! Am I having PMS already. LOL!

New Year Celebration For Us

A jump shot at White Haven Resort, Glan

Fireworks  with family and new friends to scare away evil spirits lurking over 2010

Just me! Model of some Chinese fireworks. LOL!

The entire family was complete during the new year's eve celebration as my younger sibling went home for a week's vacation together with her fiance. We were only too pleased that we were all together in spite of the spartan celebration we had.

We rummaged the ref every now and then and scared the neighborhood with our video - k singing. Yikes! hahahhahha!

Although we spent most of the time at the oval plaza for our food exhibit, we used our other idle time mall window shopping, singing and dining. We sure did have great time last new year that we cant wait for the next get together.

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

Just one of my wacky moments with my fave carbonara (hahahhahha!)

We just arrived from a 12-hour sea travel from Zamboanga City and I sure had a strange way to celebrate my birthday. My sister Tammy and the kids just settle with the boat's menu. Hahahhahaha!

When we arrived home, my mom was kind enough (as always) to buy us some ice cream and a cute dinner meal with the rest of the housemates.

Hmnnnn, a year older? I only pray for these things:

1. longer and healthier life for my folks
2. inner peace for me and my loved ones
3. flourishing business and career
4. raise my kid to be God-fearing among other things
5. less enemies but bountiful friends
6. more mountains to climb, more fun to conquer!

Did I ask much? LOL! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

We Are Stuck!

My family and I are in Zamboanga City right now. We wish to bring our family van to Gensan City by traveling on road. However, since the van has seven-months of full rest, it is now experiencing a couple of car problems including brakes, battery and aircon. waaaaaaaaaaah!

We are supposed to leave today, but, obviously, it is still not done. We can only pray that by tomorrow, we will be off to the road and head to Gensan through Pagadian, Iligan, Cagayan, Bukidnon and Davao. Quite a road travel, huh?! We wish to meet other bloggers from these places. We don't know anyone in these cities actually. hehheheheh!

Wish us a happy and safe trip on our way home!

Where is Your Honor in Cheating?

I was in my usual works of EC dropping when I first read the horrible incident of paid review copying of Juliana from Juliana's Lair. As a blogger, I write for several reasons, inclusive of which is for paid reviews. I had my usual ups and downs from doing this where the most recent was getting my review rejected for grammar errors after several grammar rechecking. OMG! It really made me stir! But, to actually know that other bloggers could have copied my hard-worked review, that could indeed make me bolt and spit anger!

I could only share the sentiment of Juliana to see her own work from someone else's blog and the case of Leomar, another Pinoy, on a paid review for only $2.00 was simply beyond reproach. Regardless of the paid review amount, this is now a question of principle. I just cant imagine how a blogger could actually be proud of her earnings simply from cheating and stealing.

I do copy images and thoughts on personal posts to at least support my conviction but I do give due credits to the sources. But to do this on paid reviews, goodness, I must be totally brainless to just steal the works of others.

So, I am taking my duty to spread awareness and responsibility by sharing this meme.

Please copy from here and share:

Are You A Single Parent?

I have known a number of single parents; my old friend for one is a proud single parent to a four year old kid. I admire their strength because they opted to keep their kids instead of leaving them to their husband or partner or aborting them while the kids were still fetus in their wombs. Whatever is the condition and reason why there are single parents, still, they need someone to talk to, befriend with, and fall in love with.

It is nice to know that there is a single parent chat room where any single parent and interested individual can meet one another. The site offers easy and free registration. Best of all, your privacy is protected and you will meet a number of decent people. And, you can actually filter who you can chat with or not.

Finding a partner for a single parent can be difficult and frustrating. It is my personal opinion that some Filipinos are bias about marrying single parents. No wonder, a number of them would rather prefer foreigners. Consequently, they find their potential partners online, like any chat room possible. I have a number of friends who find their loved ones online. It is just a matter of finding the right website with a touch of luck and patience.

Fast and Furious For Me

I recently learned how to drive a motorcycle but since I got my student license and now, for non-professional license application, I began to get scared of driving because I stopped practicing.

But, since our family van will soon be driven from Zambaonga City to General Santos City, I know I have to hit the road again on my own.

I love watching road races, particularly, the movies of Fast and Furious sequel. Would it be fun if I will be on a classic Volkswagen turbocharger . My friend who recently owns a 1960 model of Volkswagen would certainly love this too.

I would love my car to be fast, with good digital theater sound system with flashy red color paint.

Do check the site if you like the rush of a turbo-charged power car.

I Like Tattoos

I see tattoos as another medium to express one's ideas and emotion. I have seen known actors and actresses like David Beckham, the famous British soccer who has nine body tattoos and Angelina Jolie who has more than five tattoos to boost. For them, their body tattoos hold special meaning and message for their loved ones among other things.

I did try henna tattoo since I appreciate the glamor and creativity of body tattoos. I only want henna tattoo because I want to replace old tattoos with more creative and artistic ones. That way, I can simply switch between being cool and feminine.

But, there are a number of people who would also favor tattoos, temporary or otherwise that there is a Tattoo Chat Room for them. I did sign in just to see how the chat room is and the site is simply easy to use and navigate. The site can protect your private information and you can actually be protected from nuisance or unwanted chatters. It was indeed a pretty cool chat room that I recommended this to my other friends who also like tattoos or at least, has the interest for tattoos.

In finding a romantic partner, or simply a friend, it is important that you share the same inclination to click otherwise, it can simply be wild goose chase.

Punk Date For Me?

Are you a punk or simply go for punk partners? Then perhaps you can try punk personals for any possibility of a date.

It is quite important that when we choose someone for a date, he or she must share our similar interest to at least make the date interesting and spontaneous. I don't honestly believe on the adage, "opposite attracts", since this can disastrous if not frustrating.

Well, at least, my friends can have something to check.

My Friends Need a Date

Having married friends are all ok and beautiful since we get to share our own ups and downs in marriage. But, I do have older friends who are around 30's and more who are really in dire need of a partner. When you are older here in the Philippines and you are a woman, it seems too difficult to already find a partner.

But, have you heard of sugar momma dating ? It is a site for dating single millionaires. That is quite a catch and good start to look for a responsible, faithful and decent partner.

I am quite a believer of romance and love among anything else. But, I also believe that this can be possible for online dating sites too. I have other friends who are now happy because through online sites they have found their blissful partner.

Fun FAT-Zipline Adventure in Davao City

The Davao City and GenSan City Bloggers for Zipline Adventure

Last Saturday, the SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers' Community painted Davao City red with the Food Appreciation Tour (FAT) in partnership with Davao bloggers. We left very early in the morning for Davao City whose Foundation Day was March 16. We met the other Davao City bloggers in Outland Adventure Area where we had the stiff climb ( I was all catching my breath since it's 45 degree-inclination.

The stiff climb was more gruesome than the zipline!waaaaaah! They want us to smile still! They must be kidding!

All yelling from my way down to the full stop!

The Zipline was 200feet above waters and almost a kilometer distance. We wore our gears, but I was all terrified with the height but I did not want to miss the fun, so I still tried it. I took the sitting position instead of the superman poise. Mind you, the digicam I was holding only had the vision of the sky.Hahhahhahha!

Sumptuous lunch at Ranchero's! The Best Backribs and Seafoods I had by far tasted!

It was really fun, then we went to dine at Ranchero where we had the yummiest Angus platter, and seafood viands amidst elegant place, then we proceeded to the classy kasagingan, then to Crocodile Park, and dined again at Ram's where we had the tastiest pancit, white marlin fillet and salad.

Dinner at Ram's! The best White Marlin cook and pancit we tried!

We went home early morning with tummy aches from the food I took but we had the most fun from this tour. We hope to have this again here in GenSan City.
