Thank God for Coffee Dream!

My morning starts with a steamy creamed coffee as I do my usual surfs on the net, read my emails,  update my blogs, and prepare for schools and when I simply need a break from a long day, the aroma of hot coffee is enough to stir my drained and dragged afternoon. So, I quite welcome the presence of local coffee houses but I was quite disappointed when I had to see the old Coffee Dream in KCC closed down for months. The old place was my haven for my usual coffee share, a slice of special cake, net surfing as I wait for friends and family to bond with.

The new Coffee Dream, KCC Mall of Gensan

It was indeed a delight  to know that Coffee Dream would re-open and when the SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers were invited, I could only happily accept the invitation.  And, the new interior of Coffee Dream is a total surprise from the dim and authoritarian aura the old Coffee House had.  And the  new interior is the response of the Coffee Dream founders to renovate their 33+ branches nationwide to cater to younger generation.

And, with the old taste but new look and more coffee and side dish menu, the new Coffee Dream shall once again swept off the Generals and other coffee drinkers especially that they are blended to suit Filipino taste. And, what can be more interesting is the fact that they acquire their coffee from local coffee breeders, thus, helping too our economy and fellowmen.

Coffee Dream's side dish selection

I love coffee selections from Starbucks and Krispy Kremes but when location and price are the restraints, I simply thank God, Coffee Dream is just within my reach.

So, my order of Iced Strawberry Chill with  a taste of their sumptuous corned beef burger, blueberry muffin and carrot cake, I can only think of one word to describe my Coffee Dream experience, ORGASMIC!

We Are Japanese

Don't get me wrong, we are pure-blooded Filipinos, but we simply love to eat specialty foods of other nationalities.

For one, I like siopao and siomai a lot while my mom and sister, Tammy like the Japanese rice meal, Maki. They even had the chance to prepare this meal at home more than twice while I only appreciated the mango and crab strips in it. Hahhahahah!

We just like to experiement on food. I wonder what would be the next meal.LOL!

Chili's Reading Reopens

My family here in the Philippines and in Wisconsin love to eat a lot. This is one of the common things that the entire family agrees on. Whenever we go out and man our store, we always set a budget for food. It really drains us financially.

One of our nasty habits in dining is that we keep on ordering the same old food over and over again. Although we are adventurous in many ways, we do not want to eat something else that we are not certain of the taste. So, the waiters normally know our orders.

My kid is a big fan of great food too. He is quite selective with his choices. So, if he does not like the taste or the smell, we cannot possibly convince him to start or finish his meals. He is however, a big fan of chicken and nachos and fries while I love salads a lot.

Choosing the right restaurant is sometimes a struggle. So, we normally search on places where commendations are high. Chili's is one of the well -loved restaurants here in the Philippines. It operates in twenty seven (27) countries and with more than 190 franchises.

We recently known Chili's in Reading, UK had reopened after a fire consumed their kitchen last January 2009 but Reading Press Release said that this popular restaurant in UK had seized the opportunity and incorporated a much better kitchen equipment and technology to serve more great food.

I love their discount offers and meal selection from Chili's Vouchers. The family will surely love this new food experience. Should we go to Manila this year, we will visit this restaurant and try their meals.

Our Food Addiction! Want SOme?

My sister Tammy has this delicious habit of eating.hehehehhe. And, I am just so happy to join her in dining.

We use to eat in this chinese resto with our usual orders: siomai, steamed dumplings, siopao, and fresh fruit salad. So, I asked her to take some pics of our insanity, eerrr, vanity, or is it gluttony?!! Hahahahh

The Japanese siomai but I prefer the original version as the fish skin stinks!
Oh my siopao, my beloved siopao, I will trade my boss with you!
Tammy's ever favorite, she eats them at 2x a week. whew!
